ISEPS Tasks Guide

ISEPS Tasks Guide will allow you to get Time Skip rewards and yield you additional various multipliers for your particle income. Finishing Tasks and getting Task Completion Rewards milestones is very important for your long-term progress in ISEPS. You can also check Beginners Guide by clicking this link.

1 Tasks and Rewards

1.1 What are ISEPS tasks?

Tasks are added to ISEPS in version 0.6.9 and allow players to complete them to earn rewards. A task will appear in the upper right corner, to the left of Sell Energy and above the small blue chest, once every 6 minutes and 40 seconds (400 seconds). Each task takes about 30-45 seconds to complete. Players will be given time skip rewards and sometimes permanent task completion rewards upon finishing the task successfully.

There are 4 types of tasks in the game: Enter Password, Input Data, Terran Quiz Show, and Memory Cards. Each task consists of 3 or 5 stages. A task is considered finished and rewards would be given once a player completes the last stage successfully.

1.2 What can we get from completing ISEPS tasks? How do we use them?

There are 3 bonuses you can get from ISEPS tasks: time skip tokens and task completion rewards.

1.2.1 Time skip tokens

It works as you would expect it to. When you use the token, the game would fast forward the specified amount of time, giving all resources you would earn instantly, just like how the blue and red ad chests work. Time skip tokens come in one of 3 forms: 3 minutes (green, 55% chance), 5 minutes (gray, 30% chance), and 10 minutes (red, 15% chance). You will receive 1 time skip token randomly for every task you complete with the chance mentioned above. You can access and use the time skip tokens you have in the toolbelt, which is located on the bottom left corner, just above the particle upgrades tab.

1.2.2 ISEPS Task completion rewards (T-rewards)

These rewards are unlocked when the player has completed a predefined amount of tasks (in total). Each T-reward provides extra time skip tokens or a boost to particles, menus, DC, or SC. All T-rewards do not require additional resources to unlock. When you reach the task requirement of a T-reward, you can unlock it through the pop-up menu when the next task is made available, or (if you’re impatient) from the wrench icon on the top left of the toolbelt bar.

The T-reward list is as follows (on the next page):

1.2.3 Researches or DCM bonuses

Some researches and DCM give bonuses for each task you have completed, so even if you have all the T-rewards already, there are still more you can get from tasks (in addition to the time skips).

1.3 Automatic completion with task skip tickets

Task skip tickets are tickets which you can use to complete a task immediately. They can be received as achievement rewards, bought in IAP purchases, or bought from the task screen (top bar at the plus icon) with crystals.

2 ISEPS Tasks Descriptions and the Way to Complete

2.1 Enter Password

The Enter Password task requires the player to tap the numbers shown on the screen in ascending order for each of the 5 stages. The positions of the numbers are random every time, so it is not possible to cheat the system by spam clicking.

2.1.1 How to complete the Enter Password task

Simply tap the numbers in order. If you tapped all 9 successfully, the game would proceed to the next stage and you can tap again. However, if you tapped a bigger number before a smaller number, the board and positions of the numbers will be randomised again for the same stage. The task is said to be completed when you tap the last number successfully in stage 5.

2.1.2 Tips and tricks for the Enter Password task

The numbers generated are always consistent. In each stage, the numbers are always the first 9 multiples of the stage number, so if you’re at stage 3, the numbers are always 3, 6, 9, …, 24, 27. That means you can recall and know exactly the number to be tapped next. A ring would appear on the last number you’ve tapped on as a reminder so that you wouldn’t forget what’s the last number you tapped on.

2.2 Input Data ISEPS Tasks

The Input Data task requires the player to tap on the big button multiple times to reach the value required. On average, the number required increases for each of the 5 stages, but if you’re lucky, you can get the same or even a lower number!

2.2.1 How to complete the Input Data task

Your current value is displayed on the right of the task menu while the randomly generated value required is shown on the top. Once you’ve tapped enough times to have the numbers match, you can tap the Input Data button on the bottom right to have the game check the data and proceed if you’re correct. If the numbers do not match, you would stay at the current stage and have to input the data from 0 again.

2.2.2 Tips and tricks for the Input Data task

You can tap with multiple fingers at the same time to increase the number of taps by multiples of fingers used. For instance, if you need 15 taps, you can tap with 3 fingers 5 times instead of 1 finger 15 times. However, the game or your phone may sometimes register the taps incorrectly if you tap with multiple fingers too quickly, so you may need to experiment for the speed that is the quickest but without error.

2.2.3 Random number generation for the Input Data task

The following is the range of the number of taps required for each stage:

StageRange of number of taps
11-12
28-20
312-30
416-40
520-100

2.3 Terran Quiz Show in ISEPS Tasks

The Terran Quiz Show task requires the player to respond to real life trivias and game lore questions with either true or false. This is the only task that would decrease your stage number if you answered incorrectly, so be cautious!

2.3.1 How to complete the Terran Quiz Show task

You need to determine if the statement shown on the panel is true or false and tap the corresponding button. You proceed to the next stage if you’re correct, but return to the previous stage if incorrect (ouch!). The stage number cannot go below 0. Once you answer the question in stage 5 correctly, you complete the task.

2.3.2 Tips and tricks for the Terran Quiz Show ISEPS task

If you don’t want to remember the answers, you can spam true/false until the last available question, and you may pass the task if you’re lucky! Even if you didn’t luck out the task, since the game does not reuse previously shown questions, you can click 5 times on the same option at the last question to complete the task. This is easiest way to complete Terran Quiz Show ISEPS Task.

2.3.3 List of questions and their answers in the Terran Quiz Show task

2.3.4 Explanations for some questions in the Terran Quiz Show ISEPS task

These are some questions that may not have an obvious answer or require more explanations to be understood. If you want other questions to be added here with an explanation, feel free to send a DM on Discord to EnsonC#2351.

A meteor would burn up more rapidly in the atmosphere of Mars than it would passing through the Earth’s atmosphere.
Ans: Mars has a thinner atmosphere than Earth, so a meteor would burn slower in the atmosphere of Mars than Earth.
A rubber band stores potential energy when stretched.
Ans: There are many types of potential energy, a commonly used one relates to the height of the object above ground (gravitational), but this one refers to the magnitude the object is stretched (elastical).
Astronomers can look back in time.
Ans: Since light takes time to travel the vast space, astronomers can use their telescopes to study the light rays very far away from Earth and look back in time.
Gold is the heaviest naturally occurring element on Planet Earth.
Ans: Uranium is heavier than gold and you can find uranium naturally on Earth to process and make it a fuel for nuclear power plants.
Human skin cells divide only once.
Ans: Human skin cells undergo mitotic cell divisions to divide. This type of cell division can be undergone multiple times since the 2 daughter cells are identical to the parent cell and each other.
If all the frozen ice on Antarctica suddenly unfroze itself, the entire planet would be underwater.
Ans: Are you sure the hypothetically melted ice in Antarctica can cover Mount Everest as well? But to be serious, if all the ice covering Antarctica, Greenland, and mountain glaciers around the world were to melt, sea level would rise about 70 metres (230 feet). The ocean would cover all the coastal cities and land area would shrink significantly. However, many cities like Denver would survive.
Iron is the most abundant metal in Earth’s crust.
Ans: Aluminium is the most abundant metal and the third most abundant element in Earth’s crust (at 8.23%), while iron is the second most abundant metal and the fourth most abundant element (at 5.63%). Oxygen is the most abundant element in Earth’s crust with a whopping 46.1% by parts.
Mars has two kinds of motion.
Ans: The relative motion of Mars can be represented by two motions, one its own motion, and another related to Earth’s motion rotating around the Sun.
Osmium is an incredibly light material.
Ans: Osmium is a metallic element with atomic number 76. An element is generally considered heavier if it has a higher atomic number, so osmium is not lighter than iron with atomic number 26, for example.
Stephen Hawking, known for his discovery that black holes emit detectable radiation, amongst others, was said to have had an IQ above 170.
Ans: Stephen Hawking didn’t disclose his IQ, but it was discovered that his IQ is 160, similar to Albert Einstein.
Sunlight requires nearly 25 seconds to reach Earth.
Ans: By using rough estimations, the distance between the Sun and Earth is 150,000,000 km and the speed of light is 300,000 km per second. That equates to 500 seconds (8 minutes and 20 seconds) for light to travel from the Sun to the Earth.
The distance between planet Earth and its Sun is always the same.
Ans: The Earth revolves around the Sun in an elliptical shape. Since an ellipse doesn’t have a constant radius, the distance mentioned is not constant either.
The path of a light ray can be bent as it travels past a massive object.
Ans: Provided that the massive object is transparent and has a different refractive index than air, the light ray will bend once at the 2 boundaries of the object and air.
The speed of sound is constant.
Ans: Sound is a longitudinal wave and it travels in a medium of a gas, liquid, or solid via the oscillations of the particles in the medium. Since the particles in a solid are closely packed, sound can travel faster than that of a gas, which is loosely packed.
There is an official Element on the Periodic Table called “Europanium”.
Ans: There is an element on the Periodic Table called Europium with atomic number 63, but not Europanium.
Water is the most common element on Earth.
Ans: Even though water constitutes 71% of the composition of the Earth, water is not an element, but a molecule.

2.4 Memory Cards in ISEPS Tasks

The Memory Cards task in ISEPS requires the player to match pairs of cards randomly shuffled and flipped upside down. You only get to see a maximum of 2 cards at any time, so you need to remember the positions to complete this task. It consists of 3 rounds, with more cards available each round.

2.4.1 How to complete the Memory Cards task

Just like how you play this game in real life, you flip open 2 cards each time (by tapping them). They stay open if they match, otherwise flipped back when you flip the next card. You proceed to the next round when all card icons are visible and matched.

2.4.2 Tips and tricks for the Memory Cards task

You can try to use ways to remember the positions, like having letters or words assigned to a specific icon. Since the icons in this task are fixed, knowing which of them appear in which level may help too.

Also, there is a bug where the last card (bottom right corner) in each round is linked in some way (see bug #131 in the Discord server). This information might help you to complete the task faster.

2.4.3 Icons for the Memory Cards task
