Dragonheir: Silent Gods Review. PROS and CONS.

The moment I started Dragonheir Silent Gods I got intrigued by d20 dice on the screen straight away. I do not know a lot about dnd, but I am fascinated by it. First thing I saw when I started the game was intro. Its very high quality with a good voice acting and curious storyline. It wasnt that long, so I wasnt bored and pre-rendered intro switched to the game engine and damn it looks amazing! Character models, backgrounds, surrounding and effects are all looking amazing!

For the moment I thought that soon it will move to the standard build your castle, pull heroes and go grind daily quests and campaign stages gameplay, but how wrong I was.

There are 2 gameplay mechanics: Strategic, where you move around the map with your party, talk to NPC, do quests, trade, interact with the surrounding and tactical, where you place your heroes to fight the enemies. And both of those modes surprised me a lot!

In Strategic mode you have very well-made graphics and animations, it feels like you are playing next gen RPG. Huge open-world map (you have mountains and some closed passageways, but its still open world and you can go wherever you want) that will take a while to uncover. You can collect resources that you use for crafting or cooking, take quests, loot chest and fight enemies. Fun thing, that it seems that as long as you defeat the enemy they are gone for good, so it really feels like an actual RPG, which is rare for mobile games. You can also go to the dungeon to farm resources for hero upgrades and crafting.

In Tactical mode you place 5 of your available heroes on the battlefield and they will start auto combat with your enemy. You can use skills and aim them at the battlefield in order to influence the actions of your heroes or turn on full auto and chill. Combat animations and graphics are very good, your heroes dont stand on one spot and use skills in turns, they actually move on the battlefield in the real-time combat. Some ultimate skills have nice animations as well.

Some Dungeons trigger a tower defense mode combat, where you place your heroes and let them destroy ongoing enemy waves. This mode looks secondary, but its still fun and important as well, since dungeons help your heroes to progress.

Other than that there are other standard mechanics you can expect from hero collector/gacha game out there, but they are done in a pretty unique and different way, so they dont feel like a copy of something else. You can go PvP on the arena, do daily quests, craft gear and cook food and potions and much more.

Fun thing is that as I play the game more and more features are being unlocked and it feels that there are way more things to unlock and its very curious to see what those things will be.

Dragonheir Silent Gods PROS and CONS

Dragonheir Silent Gods is a fantasic hero collector RPG game that I loved a lot, but it have some drawbacks that I found important. In this article we will talk about both good and bad sides of Dragonheir Silent Gods so you can decide if this is the right game for you.

PROS

1. Stunning Graphics. Game looks amazing on the phone, tablet or PC. Character details, enemies, landscape, animations. Everything is top notch with attention to the details.

2. Great Story. I never expected a good story from the hero collector game, but Dragonheir got so many RPG elements in the game, that it feels like an RPG with hero collector elements, not vice versa.

3. Unique approach to the game mechanics we are used to. Everything in the game is made a little bit differently than what we are used to. Heroes dont recover HP between the fights, so you have to use potions, crafting interface looks cool, fights are auto but you can control the skills and so on. A lot of small things that makes the difference.

CONS

1. Story progress is limited by your adventure level. Yes, you heard it right. at some point you will have to slow down, farm dailys and dungeons in order to get more adventurer exp to unlock further story quests, areas and mechanics. And it comes slow outside of main events

2. Hero Summon stones are rare. Chance of getting legendary hero is 2%, Epic one 10%. You get guaranteed one on 55th and 20th summon respectively. But it takes a lot of time to get the summon stones and if your luck is bad you will be left with rare or epic heroes only

3. It takes a lot of time to unlock all the game mechanics. I played the game for 4 days hard, but still have locked things like Arena, Advanced weapon crafting and so on. Its not that bad, but Im impatient.

Dragonheir Silent Gods Verdict. Is it worth it?

Overall with all Pros and Cons considered Dragonheir Silent Gods is a fantastic game, that you should at least try. It have a lot of new ideas and unique approach to mobile gaming, cool graphics, intense gameplay, and deep story with dialogues and drama. I highly recommend this game, specifically for people who like RPGs and Hero Collector Genre.
