How to defeat early Dimension bosses in Soda Dungeon 2
For the first few Dimensions you shouldnt have any significant issues defeating the bosses. Its all about how you build your team, which relics you pick and how you level them.
If you have issues with that, you can refer to the Soda Dungeon 2 Beginners Guide and make sure that you havent missed anything.
Just get the best gear or do another farming run or two. That should take care of the problems you encountered.
Basic boss tactics
Depending on how far are you in the game, your tactics might be different, but for the basic team setup for the Boss fight at any dimension you want those basic things available:
Healing
Soda Dungeon 2 bosses do serious damage and cannot be oneshotted, so you will have to take care of healing.
At the early stages of the game it can be a healing stone, then you will need a Nurse, or two.
A bit later you want to add in Health regeneration by equipping proper gear and leveling required relics.
Health Pool
Next thing you want to have is a health pool. Even if your healing is perfect it wont help if bosses oneshot you.
To increase the HP of your heroes you might want to level their classes, equip proper gear (and upgrade it) and work on the health relic.
Moreover using Whale pet, that is availiable as soon as you build pet building will help you a little bit with that. Dont forget that his bonus is multiplier, that is added on top of what you have.
You might also increase your Effective Health by equiping damage reduction gear. That will make enemies attacks weaker, hence you will be able to take more hits.
Attack
It might be obvious, but attack is really important too. If your attack is too low you might not be able to overdps the boss that selfheal, or just overall die before you will be able to take him down.
Having high attack is a key to faster farming progression, but for the bosses its more important to stay alive, so balance it out.
Team compositions guide for the boss fight
For the boss fight, you might want to change your team composition from the one you use for farming or progression.
You will need sufficient amount of healing and damage for the boss fight and probably use some specific tactics to counter Boss skills.
For the purpose of this Soda Dungeon 2 boss guide we will use basic teams, that will fit most of the bosses. If you want to learn more about specific boss teams, look for appropriate Boss guide.
So the basic Boss team will look like this:
Mystic | Carpenter |
Nurse | Nurse |
Carpenter | Nurse/Carpenter |
Mystic is being used to recover mana in the long fights, if you know that you can finish it before your mana will run out, switch her to Carpenter.
Nurse is used for the healing, you might want to place nurses at different sides in order to avoid AoE damage.
Carpenters are our Damage Dealers. We went for them, because they are available early in the game, can be leveled quite easily, do sustained good damage and overall pretty balances
Of course it doesnt mean that this is one and only team that you can use. Its a good start and you can adjust it as you wish.
