Idle Berserker Creatures (Pets) Guide

This guide will cover everything you need to know about Creatures in Idle Berserker. I will also include explanations of anything related, such as specific dungeons, damage types, and more.

This guide is written with Beginner and Intermediate berserkers in mind, but I’m sure high level folks will find some useful info.

Idle Berserker Creatures information

Creatures are unlocked by clearing stage Expert 5-10 in Chapter 1

Once unlocked, Creatures can be summoned for Diamonds and relevant tickets, then equipped to the player as Pets.

Creatures are expensive, costing 12,000 Diamonds for every 5. You get one free/ad summoned Creature a day.

Creatures fall into, buff, and benefit from the same Elemental categories as World Stones:

Celestial/blue, Infernal/red and Nature/green.

This promotes the use of builds with color synergy in mind.

Creatures have Tiers, Grades, and Characteristics. They can be Evolved using other creatures and souls, and Leveled up using pet xp.

Tiers: (S, SR, SSR

Grades: (Magic, Rare, Unique, Epic, Legendary, Mythic

Characteristics: ground (paw icon) air/flying (wing icon)

Unlike with swords, gauntlets, rings, and necklaces, SSR Tier pets are obtained through summoning.

Screenshot taken from the question mark above summons chest

The Tiers and Characteristics of named Creatures stays the same. You will never have a “ground” S Tier Unicus. Unicus is a “flying” SSR Tier. Grades however, can be improved.

Clearing 5-10 also unlocks the Devastated Forest dungeon, (pet boss/pet dungeon) where you can earn food/xp to level your Pets by dealing cumulative regular and Elemental Damage to a big scary bird dude. You gain two Devastated Forest keys a day. These keys will probably be added to requests soon.

The new Elemental Crack dungeon(s) function like the Tower of Trials, and will also give you Pets, Tickets, Souls, and Pet Food as rewards. (Among other things.)

Creature Tab

To learn more about your pets, and/or equip them, locate the creature tab – next to the summon tab – at the bottom of your screen.

Here you are shown your:

“Inventory” of summoned creatures.

Sorted by rarity>level>(x)

Your Summon, Evolve and Shop options on the left.

Your current build, selected Creature info, and presets are viewable on the right.

Click on the Elemental icons and Characteristic icons (shown above) to further filter your viewing. Filter defaults to “ALL.”

Click the question mark inset on the book to be taken to the encyclopedia of currently attainable pets (commonly referred to as the Pokédex lol)

Pets are displayed here at max Grade and max level. You may refer to this page to track down the names of any pets you don’t recognize in this guide.

Selected Creature Info Breakdown:

1. Tier: (S,SR,SSR. This Pet is S Tier)

2. Element: (Celestial, Infernal, Nature. This Pet is Infernal.)

3. Characteristic: Pets with a paw icon are ground pets. Pets with a wing icon are flying pets. You can only have one partner flying pet and one partner ground pet. You cannot have two flying pets in partner slots even if they have different names.

4. Grade: (Magic, Rare, Unique, Epic, Legendary, Mythic. This pet is Magic.)

5. Unlock/Lock pet: (Prevents changes or somethin’)

6. Partner Skill: (Online when the Pet is equipped in a partner slot.)

7. Equip Skills: Always online

8. Pet level: (This pet is level 1.)

9. Pet name/type: (This pet is named “Gilryme.” All pets that look like this are Gilryme.)

10. Stats given to you by the pet when equipped. (Not when owned.)

~ Gilryme is and always will be an S Tier, Infernal Element, Ground Characteristic pet. Gilryme will always be summoned with the same skill set. Gilryme has the ability to go past level 1, provide more than just 6% Attack, Health and 12% Infernal Damage when equipped, unlock more of its Skills, and go past Magic Grade.

Gilryme cannot be an SR or SSR, will never be different (visually), cannot fly, cannot be Celestial/Nature, and cannot be renamed.

You can have 20 Magic Grade, Level 1 Gilryme’s and they would all be the same. ~

If this example Gilryme had been leveled up or evolved, you’d see the following option next to “Equip”

Evolved and leveled pets may be disassembled/reset using this button similar to how mastery can be reset.

You can confidently level your pets without worrying too much about making a bad decision, however, Creatures that were previously used to Evolve the Pet you’re resetting don’t come back. Instead, you get Souls of the same Tier and Grade.

Pressing the arrow  won’t activate it right away, but will instead show you what you’ll get back, so dw if your finger slips.

Partner vs Equip Slots and Skills:

Creature Skills

Pets come with their own Skills, the majority of which require higher Grades to unlock.

Hovering over a locked Skill will tell you at what Grade it unlocks.

The first Skill in the row is a Partner Skill, easily identifiable by the different colored border. All the rest are Equip Skills.

Important:

A Pet equipped in a Partner Slot will use its Partner Skills as well as its Equip Skills.

A Pet equipped in an Equip Slot will not use its Partner Skills, but will use its Equip Skills.

Pets equipped in any Slot will provide their stats.

Unlocked Skills proc by fulfilling certain conditions, also learned by hovering over them.

~ For example:

When this skill is off cooldown, every time you kill a monster, you have a 1% chance to use the “Requiem” Skill, even if you do not have that Skill equipped.

Creature Slots:

Slots are the places you put the Creatures you wish to use. To put a pet in a Partner Slot it must meet a certain Characteristic.

As you increase your character’s rank, more Equip Slots will become available to you.

Starting point: 2 Partner Slots (constant) + 1 Equip Slot available.

S Awakening: 2 Equip Slots available.

SR Awakening: 3 Equip Slots available.

SSR Awakening: 4 Equip available.

If for some ungodly reason I wanted to use the Gilryme from earlier as my Partner, I could not also use my boi Yaku as my Partner in the same preset/build. This is because both Creatures share the “ground” Characteristic (paw icon.) The other Partner Slot must be filled with a “flying” Pet. I could Equip Yaku, though.

Characteristics are only important for Partner Slots.

As a general rule of thumb, Partner Slots should be used by the Pets with the best Partner Skills. This is because Pets in any slot give Stats, and will use Equip Skills regardless.

Pet Growth:

Pets can be Evolved to increase the stats they give by using other Pets/Souls. At certain milestones, an evolution will result in an entirely new Grade.

All Grades can be improved to Mythic through Evolution, but an S Tier will stay an S Tier.

!! If you are confused about what is needed for Pet Evolution/Ascension, click on “Evolution” then the question mark at the top (not the Pokédex) for a handy reference sheet !!

You do not need duplicates to evolve Pets, unless you are going up a Grade. So save your copies/level them at the same time.

~ When I first started out, I would only feed Hesel’s to Hesel’s and so on, and then I’d reach a wall where it said I couldn’t evolve which confused me. If I had used a different Celestial Pet up until that wall, I could have gone up a Grade way earlier because of my Hesel copy. I was unknowingly slowing my progress because I thought I needed copies. ~

I believe that “auto select” knows this.

Pets can be Leveled up using Pet food/Experience of the same Element. The max level is 999.

In terms of how cheap it is to level: S<SR<SSR

In terms of max stats: S>SR>SSR

Check the tools and resources section for a link to an efficiency calculator made by Slammer.

What Pets Should I use?

Again, write down names you don’t recognize and refer to Pokédex. Keep in mind that these S grade pets have SR alternatives that are better. For example Yaku “becomes” Tonga. SSR pets have their own unique abilities (arguably worse ones) and are mainly used as stat-sticks (in equip slots); they are insane not because of their partner abilities but (mainly) because of the stats they give.

  • If you have an ssr, it should at least be in an equip slot regardless of color synergy.
  • Every S Tier creature has a weaker version of an SR creature’s ability.

Best Idle Berserker Farming Creatures

List of pets to consider while farming:

First stars refer to A Awakening and S Pets,  second stars are for S+ Awakening and Sr Pets.

Ground Partner Slot:

Xp: Yaku ➜ Tonga [✦✦✦✧✧ ➜ ✦✦✦✦✦]

Diamonds: Veraim ➜ Zaig [✦✦✦✦✧ ➜ ✦✦✦✦✧]

Air Partner Slot:

Equipment: Orsel ➜ Herbi [✦✦✦✦✦ ➜ ✦✦✦✦✦]

Atk speed: Naibeetle ➜ Hisaishin [✦✦✧✧✧ ➜ ✦✦✦✧✧]

Enhancement Stones: Zaibeetle ➜ Vinug [✦✦✧✧✧ ➜ ✦✦✧✧✧]

A Awakening:

Ground: diamonds > xp

Air:

S Awakening:

Ground: xp > diamonds

Air:

Reasoning:

!! Veraim and its SR version, Zaig, are worth over Yaku in the earlier stages of the game when you level fast anyway. However, it is a good idea to switch to Yaku/Tonga when farming 1-5. If you have Tonga, it’s your preference at that level whether you use it or Zaig (it outperforms Veraim 100%), but keep in mind that there are many ways to get diamonds but only one way to get levels. Level 700-800+ you should definitely be using Yaku/Tonga. !!

Equip:

Highest stat Pets.

Check out the farming tierlist

Best Idle Berserker Farming Creatures:

A Awakening:

or SR ➜ or SSR In Ground Partner Slot

or SR ➜ or SSR In Air Partner Slot

Equip: Highest stat Pets.

Reasoning:

Taku helps with bosses and Naibeetle is good overall because of the atk speed. You can just use your highest level of any pet in the Equip Slot.

Once you unlock decisive strike, these pets will still be good, but can’t be compared with the Celestial pets. Taku won’t help you out in non-farming activities that are not bosses, which is also an L.

  • If you have any Sr’s you can use them instead of the S Tier Pets listed, just because of the better stats.
  • If you have 2 or more Ssr’s you can use them instead of the Sr Tier Pets listed, just because of the better stats. (I said 2 or more because the first one should go in your Equip Slot.)

S Awakening:

or In Ground Partner Slot

In Air Partner Slot

Equip: Highest stat Pets.

Reasoning:

Solryme/Raine and Hesel/Taorbi have the undisputed BiS partner Skills for all non-farming activities. You get no use out of their partner abilities before S Awakening because they revolve around decisive strike, which you don’t have yet.

  • A base (Unique) Sr provides the same stats as a Legendary S, so evolve your Hesel so its stats don’t become a weak link, because you should definitely use it for its Partner Ability while you don’t have Taorbi.
  • A Partner Hesel is better than any other flying Partner Sr with a different ability.
  • Solryme’s Partner Ability is lit, but not on the same level as Hesel’s/Taorbi’s. A Partner Solryme is arguably not as consistent as an Sr with better stats. I would still choose Solryme, but if you have a decent level/grade Kiclop, I suppose you can use that instead despite the worse partner ability.
  • If you have Raine and Taorbi, no need to worry, just use them.

Devastated Forest Dungeon

How you optimize Pet Boss is up to you.

It is recommended to buy the daily devastated forest keys in the shop if you can.

Elemental damage can be leveled for gold. There is no known max to these levels.

Level priority for Elemental damage is Nature and Celestial; you can leave Infernal behind if you want. My Infernal is currently 0 because I’m a chadette.

As a rule of thumb you can divide your attack level by 10 to find what max Element level you should be shooting for: (level 2000 atk = level 200 Celestial/Infernal/Nature)

Okay so Devastated Forest boss:

It’s important to understand the above, because there are two things to keep in mind.

By taking more of the boss’ health bars, you increase the maximum amount of rewards you can earn.

By dealing Elemental Damage, you are increasing your reward in the direction of that aforementioned maximum amount.

  • Desolate Forest boss takes boss damage.

It is generally easier to reach the cap of Elemental Damage than it is to increase the reward cap. This means that focusing on increasing the reward cap is more important.

!! A note on Worldstones for Pet Boss: !!

Use four Worldstones of the Element you are trying to farm for. Ie: If I wanted blue Pet Food I’d use 4 blue stones.

You would think that putting Elemental damage boost on your World Stones would have a use here. You would be (sadly) mistaken.

Skill Builds for Pet Boss:

When attempting these builds, do it more than once and take an average. These are experimental things you can try, so you will lose Desolate Forest Keys by trying these. I would stick with the regular Boss build if you’re not sure if you should optimize anything, it’s the best. Do note that there is the added rng element of the Boss changing to a random Element every 10 seconds which makes testing/optimization even harder.

Boss Build: ✦✦✦✦✧ – ✦✦✦✦✦

Active: Momentum, Blizzard, Orb of Silence, Contempt

Passive: Contract, Lust, Dance, Survival of the Fittest

Strat: Best option. You lead with all skills, pop Berserk, Orb and Contempt are up, reload in time for the next Berserk. Rotation breaks a little after the second go.

Korea: ✦✦✦✦✧

Active: Momentum

Passive: Contract, Embodiment, Lust, Dance

Strat: This is a base from which you can choose your own adventure with the active skills. As long as you don’t use sword of destruction, requiem, abyssal wave you’re not too far out of the viable zone. Embodiment allows for more world stone procs.

Grim: ✦✦✦✧✧

Active: Momentum, Envy, Bloody Blades, Eviscerate

Passive: Contract, Lust, Dance, Embodiment

Strat: Reaper was testing this but I think he decided the Boss Build was better.

Elemental Crack Dungeon

You don’t really need to know anything here except for the fact that you can get Pet related rewards for completing certain stages. It’s like the Tower of Trials. There are three separate sub-dungeons in this one dungeon, each corresponding to an Element.

It unlocks after beating hard 4-10 in chapter 1

Floors 59/79/99/107 give SR pet.

Floors 49/69/89 give SR soul.

Floor 100 gives SSR pet

The pets are random.

Both pets and souls will match the element of the dungeon

 FAQ

These two creatures have a partner ability that does damage when you die. Should I use them (for their abilities) in Guild Boss?

No.

—————-

Should I summon for Creatures or Weapons?

I would recommend dropping some diamonds into pets when you unlock them, and I mean, who’s going to get something new and then not use it? But priority is to continue going for weapons to get the pity sr4 sword and complete summons pass. After you’ve got your sr4 and you’ve completed the summon pass, then you can make your own decisions from there. At S awakening, Solryme and Hesel pushing partner & yaku and Orsel are fine, but personally, I believe that the damage increase from SSR pets and/or from Raine & Taorbi and the efficiency increase from Tonga & Herbi are too good to miss out on.

—————-

I’m still confused about souls ;-;

Souls are pretty self explanatory, they are like Creatures that can only be used for evolving other Creatures. You get them from disassembling Pet’s that have Evolved and from rewards/purchases. Souls have Tiers and Elemental affinities just like Pets, but cannot be evolved, themselves.

—————-

What makes you switch from Infernal to Celestial at S Awakening?

Decisive strike

—————-

Is atk being removed from pets?

No.

—————-

Is there a cheat sheet for pet boss drops/required damage to hit cap of some kind?

Nah idk

Just use 4 world stones of the same color and you’re fine.

—————-

Does skill cooldown affect creature skills?

I don’t think so. Even if it did it wouldn’t matter

—————-

SSR pets first or skin first in event shop/exchange?

Skin first. Unless you plan to spend enough money to guarantee both, then I think that if you have spare food and room in your slots that an SSR can provide a bigger boost (faster.) But SSR pets don’t go anywhere, the skin will, so get it first.

—————-

SSR pets or SR from event shop/exchange?

SSR but it’s up to you if you already have some SSR’S

Flame’s Unofficial Creature Tier List(s)

Pushing = bosses, dungeons and such. Farming = idle content. Prioritize partner slots first. Only put SSR in partner slots if the number of SSR’s is greater than your equip slots. SSR’s don’t have great abilities, but their stats more than make up for it, so fit them in your Equip Slots first. (Only Raine and Taorbi are safe from being replaced by an SSR in non-farming pursuits.)

Farming Idle Berserker Creatures Tier-list

(These tiers trend towards S+ Awakening)

Abilities > Stats (read note at bottom)

First 3 tiers apply to partner slots. Fifth and 6th are for Equip slots, unless you have a surplus, then you should be replacing anything below good(er) with a higher stat Creature to allow you to farm higher stages, unless you are farming 1-5 and then use Yaku regardless. Yes, Zaig can compete with Tonga at the highest one-shot stage.

A Awakening Tier-Lists:

The following tier lists apply to players below S rank (Pushing), or who aren’t level 700-800+ (Farming)

That cursor is gonna ruin my day. Also, Stats & Skills is technically the same Tier as “Stats.”

Devastated Forest

Certain Abilities ≥ Stats

This tier list assumes you understand the mechanics of the Desolate Forest dungeon and are more than familiar with partner vs equip slot stat vs skill optimization. This Tier-List can be applied to boss fights in general, so use this if it makes more sense to you.
